Private tuba & euphonium lessons
Concept-based teaching for middle and high school students
Testimonials
““Tony Granados was a game changer in my overall performance as a tuba player. I wouldn’t be where I am today without his guidance.””
“"Tony is the premier tuba/euphonium instructor in the Triangle area. His success speaks for itself, with his students regularly earning seats in All-District and All-State Honor Bands, as well as the Triangle Youth Philharmonic and Triangle Youth Brass Band. But beyond musical success, Tony routinely goes the extra mile to ensure that his students become complete, well rounded musicians that are primed to succeed—both in music and otherwise. He has been a lasting influence on me, and I can’t recommend studying with him enough"”
How it works
Lessons run one hour ($80) with half-hour options ($40), in person at the studio in Midtown Raleigh — the entrance is in the back yard, with street parking. Google Meet stands in when weather or emergencies demand.
Sessions run September–October, November–December, January–March, April–May (plus the first week of June), and summer. Email to schedule — the studio calendar shows available times each week.
Studio policies
What do lessons cost?
$80 for an hour, $40 for a half hour. Lessons are pre-paid to reserve the time — ApplePay, Zelle, or Venmo.
What does my student need to bring?
Everything they play with: instrument, mouthpiece, valve oil, and music.
What if we miss a lesson?
Missed lessons aren't guaranteed a make-up time, so protect the slot. For weather, use your judgment — we'll arrange a make-up if we can.
How do we start?
Send an email with your student's grade, school, and experience, and we'll find a time.
