New Music
The Triangle Brass Band started rehearsals for the May concert. The music for this show is so completely different than the last show. Beethoven, Haydn, von Suppe, Handel, Gabrieli. This program will force the band to play with a new level of finesse, and we really have to learn to lighten up. There is one serious brass band work, the Downie Purcell Variations, which the band read really well. This will let the band really open up and dig into one of the well known test pieces. I am really looking forward to this program, our soloist, and working on this style of music.
